Canyoneering 2-Day Tour

Duration: 8 hours each day (2 consecutive days)

Meeting Place: Torrey, Utah

DETAILS:

Two consecutive days of fully guided canyoneering in the beautiful Capitol Reef National Park!  Canyoneering involves Hiking, Down-Climbing, Rapelling, Scrambling and occasionally wading through some water.  No prior experience is needed.  Moderate physical fitness is recommended (ability to hike 1-4 miles).  Meet your guide and go over the safety essentials as well as any concerns you may have.  Typically, we do an easier canyon on day one and give you options to do something bigger on day two if you feel comfortable.  We tailor the experience to your group, since it is a private trip!

PACKING LIST:

• Clothing that can be torn

  • Pants and long sleeves are recommended

• Layers for warmth

  • Temperatures can be much cooler in canyons

• 2-3 liters of water each day

  • Bottles with some rigidity - no bladders

• Sun Protection

  • Hat, Sun shirt, Sunscreen

• Closed Toe Shoes

  • Ideally with a low profile tread

• Lunch/Snacks for 2 days
