Welcome to Far & Wide Explorations LLC. By booking a trip, participating in our activities, or using our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully. These policies ensure a safe, clear, and enjoyable experience for all guests.
1. General Overview
Far & Wide Explorations designs and leads small-group adventure experiences with group sizes typically ranging from 8–12 guests. Our trips involve outdoor activities including hiking, canyoneering, scenic travel, and guided cultural experiences. By joining any trip, you acknowledge that adventure travel carries inherent risks and that you participate voluntarily.
2. Eligibility & Participant Responsibilities
To participate in our adventures, guests must:
Be at least 18 years old, unless accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Be in reasonable physical condition appropriate for the selected trip.
Disclose any relevant physical limitations prior to the trip.
Follow guide instructions, safety protocols, and group expectations.
Treat all participants, staff, and locations with respect.
We reserve the right to remove any guest whose behavior endangers themselves, others, or the integrity of the experience.
3. Payments & Booking
A booking is considered confirmed once:
Payment has been submitted,
You have received written confirmation from Far & Wide Explorations,
All required waivers and forms have been completed.
Far and Wide Explorations reserves the right to refund in full and cancel your reservation if we do not receive all required paperwork and/or at our discretion.
Trips are priced per person and are subject to applicable taxes or service fees.
4. Included & Excluded Services
Each trip page outlines inclusions specific to that experience. In general, our multi-day trips may include:
Accommodations in shared or communal lodging
Homemade or group-prepared meals
Professional guiding
Park entry fees
All planned group activities (stated as included)
Unless otherwise noted, trips do not include:
Airfare or transportation to the meeting point
Personal travel insurance
Alcohol or personal snacks
Optional add-on activities
5. Health, Safety & Assumption of Risk
Outdoor adventure activities involve risks including uneven terrain, weather conditions, slips, falls, environmental hazards, and travel-related complications. By participating, you acknowledge these risks and agree that Far & Wide Explorations is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or losses except in cases of proven negligence.
Guests must inform guides of any medical conditions or concerns prior to departure.
6. Itinerary Adjustments
Our itineraries are thoughtfully crafted but may change due to:
Weather
Trail or road closures
Safety considerations
Group needs or pacing
Guides reserve the right to adjust daily plans to ensure guest safety and deliver the best possible experience.
7. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations by the Guest
Because our adventures require significant preparation, staffing, and lodging coordination, the following cancellation policy applies:
More than 30 days before trip start date:
Full refund minus a $50 administrative fee.15–30 days before trip start:
50% refund.30 days or less before trip start:
No refund available.
If you cannot attend, you may transfer your spot to another person at no additional cost, provided they meet all trip requirements.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
8. Cancellations by Far & Wide Explorations
We reserve the right to cancel a trip due to:
Extreme weather or unsafe conditions
Minimum group size not being met
Unexpected circumstances that prevent us from operating safely
If Far & Wide Explorations cancels a trip, guests may choose:
A full refund, or
Credit toward a future trip
Far & Wide Explorations is not responsible for additional expenses such as airfare, lodging before/after the trip, or personal purchases.
9. Photographs & Media
By participating, you grant permission for Far & Wide Explorations to use photos or videos taken during the trip for marketing or promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be included, please notify us before the trip begins.
10. Liability Waiver
All participants must sign a liability waiver prior to departure. Without a completed waiver, you will not be permitted to join the trip, and no refund will be provided.
11. Personal Property
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. Far & Wide Explorations is not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen items.
